Interesting information about the animal
This beautiful blue adult Rhabdophis tigrinus was found in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. In addition to being venomous, R. tigrinus sequesters toxins from toads, which are stored in two rows of glands along its neck. When threatened, it will flatten its neck to display these glands as a warning. Though rare, fatalities from their bite have been documented.
