A little about my entry...
Avid runner, over 1200 races run, age 79, currently a competitive track sprinter, winning age-group Gold, Silver, Bronze, 200m, 100m, 400m in Phoenix & Tucson Sr. Olympics, 2024 - 2026, qualifying for National Sr. Olympics.
Taught photography from elementary grades in Cleveland OH, to high school at JFK Intn’l School, Berlin Germany. Did freelance photography for a living—-or “dying,” feast or famine of assignments—-for several years in OH during 1980’s. Photographed sports, the NBA, World Series of Golf, photos published in magazines, had three 1-person shows of my photos.
My career has been in teaching——35+ years adjunct professor UC Santa Cruz—-and in Human Resources, startup to Fortune 100 companies. I still work (remotely), part of leader team at SF based Kyo Autism Therapy, helping grow company from 60 people to 1800 in my 10 years. When I gave up photography, I sold all my Nikon equipment, and have used an IPhone 13 since, which I took my entry photo with.
From 2023 - 2025, I had about 20 IPhone nature photos published in the Sonoma Index Tribune, in the paper’s Photo of the Week section, which they recently eliminated.
I’m married, 3 daughters, 4 grandsons, and split my time between a home in Gilbert (PHX area) AZ, and Napa & Sonoma.
1 also died after a 1 mile race in Petaluma in May 2023. You can google it, as that would take another 250 words to describe.
