Gracie was adopted from SGF 2 years ago at age 4, after she was surrendered by a back yard breeder due to her lung disease. With ongoing treatment, she now lives a perfectly normal life with her 2 doxie sisters, Bella and Lillie. "Gracie Grace" is the sweetest, most loving, and affectionate little girl filled with such gratitude and spunk. She can spend her entire day giving kisses, but is absolutely not a "morning girl" before 11am!
Gracie had a particular attachment to Lacie, her senior doxie sister who recently went to the Rainbow Bridge at age 16. She seemed to understand that Lacie was very lost and confused. Gracie spent most of her waking time comforting, bathing, and cuddled with Lacie, while the others pretty much ignored her. Interestingly, Gracie has many of Lacie's very gentle, sweet, and loving personality traits. She has brought such joy into our lives!
