How did you come to adopt your rescue animal and how does your pet bring joy to your life?
Lucille (formerly Jacklyn) was brought to the Southside Shelter by a cable guy who saw her tied up to a pile of trash in someone’s yard. I adopted her after moving across the country to a new area where I knew no one to take a job for the second time in two years. She’s a high energy lady who has become my best friend and constant companion. We do everything together, the Beach, the dog park, and sometimes she even helps her mom in the office. Lucille is a devilish little trickster who keeps me on my toes, and always makes life great and interesting with her adorable shenanigans! It’s places like this Shelter that make it possible for dogs like Lucille to find homes. Although, sometimes I have to ask myself....who rescued who?
