How did you come to adopt your rescue animal and how does your pet bring joy to your life?
We adopted Katniss 5 years ago at an event at PetSmart in Greenwood. My son fell in love with her and I wanted to bring her home to our family. She definitely has a unique personality and we love her for it. She became a good friend to our dog Sadie (who we lost this year) who was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and was very sick. She would lay by her side on bad days and just made it better for her.
Katniss loves to cuddle and seems to know when we are down. She will come up and lay on my chest when I am having symptoms from my chiari malformation. It's like she senses it and wants to help. She also runs up to my son when he comes home from college and just loves on him. She follows him around like a puppy dog and it is the sweetest thing.
She is the sweetest fur baby and I cannot imagine our lives without her. ❤❤❤
