How did you come to adopt your rescue animal and how does your pet bring joy to your life?
I had heard wonderful things about the shelter, so one day I stopped by after work. That day I spent some time with a very cute dog named Norman. I went back three weeks later and he had found his forever home. So, I looked at the other dogs available and found my Stanley. I loved his quirky look and he seemed to have an even temperament. How could I know that he would be the love of my life. He and his sister run around the house chasing each other and love their daily walks. He has brought such joy and entertainment into my life. He is smart, loyal and so very loving. About a 1 1/2 wks after I got him he got out through an open gate. I searched for him until after dark and was devastated that I would have to call the shelter and tell them what had happened. When it was to dark to see, I returned home and he was sitting at the back door wanting in. I have had a multitude of animals throughout my life and I cannot recommend strong enough to adopt from a shelter. I do not know how, but the animals know and seem to be eternally grateful. I know I am, because I could not imagine my life without Stanley. I love him to the moon and back.
