How did you come to adopt your rescue animal and how does your pet bring joy to your life?
We adopted Bella from the Southside Animal Shelter nine years ago. Known as Sugar at the shelter, someone dropped her off on the road that runs in front of the shelter when she was about nine months old. Luckily, shelter staff saw this happen and brought her in! I knew the moment I met Bella that she was the dog for me. From the first day we brought her home, she was such a good girl - house trained, would sit and shake when asked, and was calm as could be. She’s the most loyal and sweet dog I’ve ever had. Bella came in to our lives at just the right time and filled our hearts in just the right way with her loving and gentle nature. We are so grateful for Rosie and the incredible work she and the shelter staff do for the animals every day!
