How did you come to adopt your rescue animal and how does your pet bring joy to your life?
I found Deogie (formally Wiley) on Sothside Animal Shelters website. When I went to meet him for the first time he was a little shy but clearly a playful boy. Unfortunately another adopter took him home before I was able to. Thankfully for me, the dog the other adopters had didn’t like the fact that there was a new pup in his space so Deogie ended up back at the shelter. As soon as I found out he was available I went to pick him up!

At the time I was told he was a 2 year old neutered coydog mixed with what was most likely a German Shepard. About 3 months later I realized he was NOT neutered which put his age more likely at 9 months old. Looking back now it’s pretty easy to see from pictures that he was still a puppy. He’s now a whopping 75 pounds of hyper coydog that likes to jump my 6 foot fence just for the fun of it. He’s a sweet boy who gets into a lot of trouble because of his intelligence, but I wouldn’t trade him for anything.

And in case you’re wondering, yes that is a squirrel that he caught and “played” with before having it for lunch.
