How did you come to adopt your rescue animal and how does your pet bring joy to your life?
We came to adopt Abby after one of our two senior dogs passed away. Beasley, our remaining elder dog, was so sad after he lost his lifelong friend. We wanted to give him time to grieve, but he never got any better. We had seen a puppy at Southside that we wanted to see; however, the universe showed us Abby instead. She was sitting quietly in a bottom crate and had this sparkle of life in her eyes that melted our hearts. We adopted her that day and found that we were her second adopters. She had been brought back to the shelter for being too “active” in her former home. Needless to say, she has been the perfect fit for our home and for Beasley! He is happy again and Abby has her forever home!
