Contest begins July 9, 2018 at 7:00 am (CDT) and runs through July 30, 2018 at 9:00 pm (CDT).
- It is FREE to submit a photo!
- Photo entries must be of an English Setter or English Setter mix. Your entry does NOT have to be a rescue dog. We LOVE all English Setters and welcome entries from all English Setter lovers.
- To enter the contest, you will submit a photo of your dog(s), provide his/her name, your name and address, and a short paragraph (100 words or less) that tells voters something about your doggie that we could include on our calendar if your photo is one of the top 13 vote-getters. Is he or she a rescue dog? How long has he or she been a part of your family? Is there a fun or interesting thing that your dog likes to do?
- Voting is open to everyone. Votes are $1 each. Each dollar donated equals an equivalent number of votes. A $5.00 donation equals 5 votes, a $10 donation equals 10 votes, etc. A minimum donation of $5 is required. You can use your votes to vote on one photo entry, or spread them across your favorite photos.
- If you submit a photo to the contest, you can email links to your family and friends to encourage voting for your photo. On your pet's public page, there is a "share" button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook. Ask all of your friends and family to vote for your favorite photo and Share! Share! Share!
- Photos are preferably horizontal (wider than they are tall) and may contain more than one pet; at least one dog in the photo should be an English Setter. No people in the photos, please.
- Important: Digital photos only. Photos must be in color, clear, of good quality and high resolution, and able to be printed at a size of 8.5" x 11" without significant loss of quality. If your submission is low resolution or poor quality, you will be asked for a better quality image if your photo is one of the top 13.
- Please submit photos only – do not add any graphics or illustrations. We want the focus to be on the beauty of our dogs!
- Winning photos from previous years cannot win again. If your entry is one of the top 13 vote getters and you have used a winning photo from a previous year, you must submit a new photo for this year’s calendar.
- Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt. Mailed paper receipts can be requested by emailing info@swesr.org.
- We plan for the 2019 SWESR calendar to be available for distribution to winners by December 1, 2018. Calendar pre-sales begin in October 2018. Information about purchasing calendars will be available on SWESR's website and Facebook page.
- Contest donations are processed by a secure (SSL, PCI-Compliant) payment processor. You can donate using all major credit cards and Visa and MasterCard debit cards.
- Registration information shared by participants when creating an account to submit a photo entry will be kept strictly confidential by Southwest English Setter Rescue.
- The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of Gogo Photo Contest.
- All entries and photographs may be used by Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR) at their discretion for any and all purposes. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual or company, you are responsible for obtaining permission from the owner.
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless SWESR and the contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
