Your Pet's Rescue Story
Basil was rescued by Louie's Legacy. She was dumped pregnant and heartworm positive . She needed an emergency c-section to deliver her pups. Following her heartworm treatment, we were able to welcome this sweet beauty into our family in April of 2014. She is the best dog! She has brought so much joy and laughter to our home. Sadly, Basil was diagnosed with Doberman dilated cardiomyopathy this past January. She is on multiple medications and we are cherishing every minute with our baby. She is such the light of our lives and we love her so very much! Update: We are heartbroken to report that Basil passed away suddenly on Sunday August 19th. We want to honor her memory and her fight with Doberman Dilated Cardiomyopathy and help as many rescue dobies as we can.
