Hi, I’m Diesel. I’m a big fan of love—giving it, getting it, and making sure there’s always plenty of it going around.
Two years ago, my sister Tortellini and I made a bold move and escaped together from the SPCA of Brevard in Titusville. It was a pretty big adventure for two small cats, and while I’m not sure we had a full plan, we definitely had determination. Tortellini might say she was the mastermind, but I was right there with her the whole time.
One thing people usually notice about me is that I only have one eye. I don’t really know what happened to it before I arrived at the shelter, but it’s definitely not there anymore. The funny thing is, it’s never slowed me down at all. I can still run, play, explore, and keep up with everyone just fine. In fact, my mom says it’s one of the reasons she chose me. She saw me and decided I was exactly the cat she wanted to take home.
And honestly, I’m very glad she did.
My favorite thing in the world is being loved. If someone is petting me, hugging me, or talking to me, I’m happy. I love attention and affection, and I’m always ready to lean in for more. Being close to my people makes me feel safe and happy, and I try to return that love every chance I get.
Of course, I still have my playful side too. I like hanging out with my sister, exploring the house, and joining in on whatever fun is happening. Whether we’re running around, playing with toys, or just relaxing nearby, life is always better with a little company.
So that’s me: Diesel. Escape artist, professional love receiver, and proud to only have one eye that makes me one of a kind. It might look a little different, but it helped me find the person who loves me—and that makes it pretty special.
