Allie Mae is a rescue dachshund whose story began in a difficult place but led to a life filled with love, purpose, and a little bit of royal attitude. She was rescued from a hoarding situation where many dogs were living in overcrowded conditions, all waiting for someone to notice them and give them a chance. When Allie Mae arrived at rescue, it was discovered that she was pregnant.

Despite everything she had been through, this little dachshund showed incredible resilience. In the safety of rescue, she gave birth to her puppies and cared for them with all the love a mama could give. One by one, her babies were adopted into loving homes, each starting their own new chapter.

Eventually, it was Allie Mae’s turn. She was adopted and began what everyone hoped would be her forever story. But sometimes life has unexpected twists. After some time, Allie Mae was returned to the rescue. While that moment could have been heartbreaking, it ultimately led her exactly where she was meant to be.

Soon after, Allie Mae found her way into Toni’s life — and from that moment on, everything changed. What started as a rescue quickly became something deeper. Allie Mae became Toni’s “soul dog,” a constant companion whose personality, loyalty, and joyful spirit bring light to every day.

Now known lovingly as the “Queen Ween,” Allie Mae spreads happiness everywhere she goes. She has a big personality packed into a small dachshund body, and she has a way of making people smile the moment they meet her. Whether she’s supervising neighborhood walks, burrowing under blankets, or charming everyone she encounters, Allie Mae has become a little ambassador for rescue animals everywhere.

Last year, Allie Mae participated in the SPCA’s Purr-rom fundraiser and rallied an incredible community of supporters, raising the most funds for female dogs and finishing in the top three overall. While she may not have taken home the crown, she helped make a meaningful impact for animals still waiting for their second chance.

This year, Allie Mae is back — not just to compete, but to continue helping animals who are still where she once was: waiting for someone to see them, believe in them, and give them a loving home.

Her story is proof that rescue animals are full of love, resilience, and joy. Sometimes the path to a forever home isn’t straightforward, but when the right person finally comes along, it makes every step of the journey worth it.
