Kali (affectionately known as Bumble Blossom at this stage) was surrendered to the SPCA this summer, infested with fleas, having recently had puppies, and with two mammary tumors. Here she is recovering from surgery and patiently learning about her new world. The cone was simply an ornament for her, a big opaque blossom in the midst of which she has bloomed. Kali is a loving, happy, healthy dog on the Maine coast!
