Pet's Story or Bio
Gennie, short for Genevieve, grew up in the back hills of open pastures. Her original owner had a herd of horses and let them roam freely on his land. Due to his declining health, he had to be rehomed the entire herd. Gennie and a sergeant mare arrived at the horse rescue together in Watsonville. She was considered an untouchable and a wild one. I would spend my weekends at the rescue feeding, watering, grooming, cleaning, and just gaining the trust of the horses. I was brushing a horse named Hunter and Gennie approached me asking to be groomed. Since then we have bonded immensely. Our relationship has been built from the ground up based upon trust and respect for each other. I have moved her to Livermore where I can see her every day and spend hours hanging out in the open pastures and green hills of Livermore. It's the quality of time not the quantity of time that matters most.
