Lola, adopted from the SPCAMC was once Dora. She is on the right.
(Black/Brown) Charlie, her big brother, is on the left. I saw Lola at an adoption event in Carmel. I learned her story from Summer Emmons. She was a new mother, living in Salinas, locked in a shed with a new litter of puppies. She was scared, hungry and not trusting of anyone. Her story is on record with SPCAMC. You were kind enough to feature her in your newsletter and a letter for donations. My husband, Charlie and I adopted Lola, hoping that with time, she would love and trust us. It has been a journey and every year she improves and we love her TOO TOO much. She is a joy. Makes us laugh everyday. Charlie has been an integral part of her life, showing her that it is ok to trust and he guides her to love. They are a great team.
