Pet's Story or Bio
My wife and I are residents of San Antonio Texas but we have enjoyed owning a home here in Carmel by the Sea for many years. At first we were back and forth with dogs but over time and for many reasons our pet family became all feline. All of our cats love Carmel and they are now experienced travelers, making the journey many times. They spend their summer days here sunning on a deck overlooking the pacific and enjoying life in coastal California.


Anette is approximately 4 years old and was found living on a roof top in Brackenridge Park Texas where she was most likely abandoned. Normally we would have found a home for Anette however at the time of her capture and, and just as we were leaving for California, we also trapped two litters of abandoned kittens. The kittens were too young for a shelter and no fosters found so all were packed in the car and made the drive to Carmel.

As it turned out Anette took to the kittens and cared for them during their time with us. With help from the SPCA of Monterey all found homes but one, Tilley, who is still with us today. We have fostered many abandoned kittens over the years and Anette has been an award-winning helper with that good cause, though lately she has signaled her interest in retirement from that responsibility!
