Pet's Story or Bio
Pickles was found as a stray roaming the streets of Salinas. He was housed at the SPCA under the name of Bandit. In my lifetime, I have had purebred Miniature Schnauzers and the last one was put down due to health issues right before my daughter was born. My daughter is now 6 years old and my husband and I thought it would be a perfect time to bring a dog into our house again. We searched high and low for the perfect pet and saw Pickles on the SPCA website. He hadn't been groomed and didn't really look like a Schnauzer. In fact, he is a mix with some other type of terrier.

We went to the SPCA and fell in love with him. He immediately jumped up on the bench and laid down right beside us. He is the most loving, affectionate little dog. We renamed him Pickles! The picture of him is from lots of lap time. We got him a week before I had a total hip replacement. He was extremely therapeutic for me as I was stuck at home healing. He would come lay on the bed with me during physical therapy and spent a lot of his day just snuggled on my lap. He is always so happy when we come home from work and sits in the front window when he thinks it's about that time for us to arrive. We just love him to pieces and we couldn't be happier!He has integrated into our little family of three wonderfully and we feel as though our family is complete now.
