Pet's Story or Bio
We got Jamie out of the back of a truck when we were driving down N Main St in Salinas.... she was about 3 months old & absolutely COVERED in ticks! She was a little anemic & with some tlc she became a very normal pup. I remember the time she ate my brother’s chair! That was so funny!! She truly was my brother’s dog. She always wanted to be with him & he took her everywhere. She loved to go hiking, camping, chasing the stick or ball, or even just hanging out at home.
I have so many fond memories of her. She used to sleep next to my son when he was an infant. All we had to tell her was “watch the baby”. And even as he got older all you had to do was tell her & she wouldn’t leave his side.
We lost Jamie this past March... she had apparently developed canine degenerative myelopathy. I had never even heard of it before! It was a sad way for such an amazing dog to die. Fortunately we were able to allow her to pass with dignity with my whole family surrounding her. I miss her every day....
