Pet's Story or Bio
Ginger or "Ginger bean" as she is affectionately called has a big bark but an even bigger booty and an even BIGGER heart. She guards the homestead with ferocity, but will cuddle you with just as much gusto once you make the connection. Ginger is a gorgeous Australian Shepard who began her life on a less-than-ethical breeder farm, and because she was "imperfect" in their eyes for showing and selling she was going to be "put down." A young woman felt sorry for her and snatched her away to gift to her dad. She charmed him, of course, and lived her first year in PG helping him heal a broken heart. At the same time her Auntie Jen fell in love and found every excuse to dog sit. The girls formed a unique bond and Jennifer said often, "If my friends ever had to move or travel I would adopt that dog in a second!" Well... be careful what you wish for because sometimes it comes true! So she moved homes but stayed right in Monterey. She charges all over the central coast hiking trails, beaches, local parks and even EVOLUTION studio where she sometimes gifts the yoga students with end of class kisses. Her distinctive markings and incredibly fluffy coat have earned her fun nicknames like Little Bear and Honey Badger, and even Chub Chub (but only Jennifer is allowed to call her that.) She is an avid squirrel chaser, and true to her breed, she tries to chase and herd most small animals and even the large ones like deer. Large men need to watch their ankles around her- she nips at them- but once they get down on her level and offer a belly rub, all is well. Ginger is a joyful being and has incredibly emotive eyes that will draw you in and grab your heart.
She help sJennifer start each day with cuddle meditation which is just perfect for someone who offers massage and touch therapy to others. She plays, eats, and loves with enthusiasm- what a perfect role model for us all.
