Pet's Story or Bio
When I brought Lola home from the SPCA in 2015 she was just 6 weeks old and only about 2 lbs. (This picture is her first night home.) After searching seemingly forever on line for a companion for my little Burmese boy Jax, I came to the SPCA and found Lola. They said she was found all alone at Soledad High. She was so tiny that she fit in my 2 hands. I held her under my chin and she just started purring like crazy. At home I gave her her very own safe space in the guest room, with a baby gate, so she could see/smell Jax but she could retreat to the cozy bed. I kept them apart for about a week. She was shy but loved to eat, so I quickly became her best friend. It took a while for her to warm up to her big brother, Jax, but soon, and forever after, they slept curled up together in a ball. They love to nap on the unmade bed after breakfast and in the afternoon chase toys and the sunshine from window to window. Now she weighs almost 15lbs! She's tall and long, maybe just a tiny bit fat... I think she's still worried about where the next meal will come from, as she licks out every bowl. She's still a bit shy with strangers but she'll come to me to demand petting especially right after lights out when we get in bed.
