Aspen was rescued from the McKinney Animal Shelter just one day before he was due to be euthanized for being "too shy to get adopted." You can tell by looking at him that he isn't shy; he was just traumatized by having been attacked by at least one other dog in the shelter (and he remains cautious of unfamiliar dogs). He loves playing with his other 2 fur brothers and 1 fur sister as well as going hiking and jeeping in the mountains. He is so eager to please and gets a goofy "smiley" face when he knows he's done something wrong and might be in trouble--like he's saying "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Besides the usual commands, he knows how to spin, crawl, wiggle on his back, and catch treats placed on his nose.
