Pet's Story or Bio
We did not mean to adopt a pet the day we found King Frederick (Freddy) at the SPCA McKinney. He was not even one of the dogs we had even considered when we arrived. However, after viewing several candidates for a potential new pet none seemed to match up with the family. That is until we decided to visit with Freddy. Immediately as he entered the adoption orientation room he got up in my lap and kissed me on the cheek. It was done from there. In that moment we knew we found our fur-ever pet.

Once we got him home, he was a bit shy at first and did not really know how to behave because he was now alone, for the first time in a while. His previous home had an alpha female and several other pets. He is, as we were told, an alpha male, naturally this caused issues in the previous owners' home. They claimed he had terrible behaviors (barking and territorial marking I'm the house) yet he exhibited none of this at our home.

He was finally in a safe space which we have worked hard to provide. Initially he wouldn't even play with toys, but just after 7 months, he now loves toys! A huge thank you to the SPCA and the previous owners for this wonderful, loving, and protective member of our family. August 8th marks our one year anniversary of adopting this wonderful pup.
