My name is Twitter, I'm a parakeet (budgerigar, aka "budgie") and I was adopted from SPCA-McKinney. I was in a cage in the lobby surrounded by cats in cages in the lobby too. The people at SPCA told my prospective adopter that there might be something wrong with me because I didn't tweet. The next day, Christmas Eve 2014, that human came back and adopted me! As soon as she took me out of the building to her car, I started to tweet really loud! I'm no dummy. I knew that if I was quiet, the cats wouldn't know there was a bird near them. Now I live with lots of other parakeet friends and can fly all over the human's house. I'm a big pudgy budgie because of all the good food and treats I get. And I've been told that I tweet a lot and have beautiful tweets when I sing. That's why I was named Twitter!
