Pet's Story or Bio
My wife and I adopted Jaxon (formerly Jensen) from the SPCA of Texas in April 2020. Jaxon came to the shelter through a seizure in late July 2019. The 4 year old blue/white pittie was underweight, with flea bite dermatitis, alopecia, ear mites (resulting in a deformed left ear from scratching), stage-1 heartworm, and multiple broken teeth. After the SPCA of Texas rescued him from deplorable living conditions, many of his front teeth had to be extracted, including 3 canines from chewing on rocks and sticks. Jaxon quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite while at the shelter. He won them over with his pittie grin and his happy feet. It didn’t take much to convince my family that we needed to add Jaxon to our pack. He enjoys playing with his 3 doggie siblings, laying in the grass (when it’s cool!), and waiting for belly rubs with his one tooth grin!
