Pet's Story or Bio
My wife and I took in this stray in 2004, she was about a year old.. Ronald Reagan passed away about the time we were naming her. Thus 'Reagan'. She lived up to it one hundred percent. She became my wife's BEST FRIEND and they walked religiously every day, about 45 miles a week.
This was a SMART dog.
In 2015 they found a tumor in one of her front legs.
We began radiation treatments and eventually had to make the decision to have the leg amputated July of 2016.
She was otherwise completely healthy.
She spent another 4 VERY happy years with us before leaving for the 'rainbow bridge'.
She loved to run on the beach in South Padre Island.
She protected our family and property like nothing we had ever seen.
I understand that this contest is for 4 legged animals, but I would like for you to accept this application even though Reagan had only 3...and still could run like the wind.
THIS WAS A ONE OF A KIND, ONCE IN A LIFETIME DOG for us.
We continue to have dogs and cats. Maybe she will speak to through one of them.
