Pet's Story or Bio
Nick had a tough up bringing. After being tossed over an 8’ chain-link fence in the dead of night at a “no-kill” shelter in Dallas, I can only imagine his sense of abandonment as he watched the person he trusted most walk away. Over the next year Nick was in and out of a foster home.

My wife, Charlotte, initially saw Nick at an adoption event hosted by PetSmart and after telling me about the precious little guy she met we decided to return together with high hopes of bringing Nick home. Naturally Nick had some trust issues, particularly with men, so when we arrived at the adoption event the organizers from Dog & Kitty City were hesitant to let me hold him. Charlotte took him first and then handed him to me. I could sense his handler holding her breath as I took Nick into my arms, but after gazing into my eyes and giving me a couple licks under the chin, we all knew we and Nick had found his forever home.

Nick has been a blessing to us ever since having changed our lives as well being a constant companion of our aging Jack Russell named Sam. It has been 8 years now and Nick will always be a most beloved member of our family and trusted friend.
