Hercules was our little miracle with the cutest pittie smile. I was lucky enough to become Hercy’s fospice mom in January 2019 when he was a little 1 year old pittie and he quickly became so much more to our family than just a fospice dog. Hercules suffered from chronic canine IBD, among other health issues. His IBD would cause flare-ups and bouts of pancreatitis that required hospitalization, but unlike most dogs he enjoyed his visits to his favorite SPCA of Texas vet staff. And despite his medical issues he never missed a chance to delight us with his mannerisms as he watched tv (he loved watching tv), destroy a stuffed toy, chase his jolly ball, try to catch a squirrel, or cuddle with me. We lost Hercy to his illness in May 2021. His loss was not only felt by me and my family, but also by the entire SPCA of Texas family (current and former). While Hercy was only with us for a few years he left paw prints on all of our hearts!
