Pet's Story or Bio
Riley was originally adopted by someone from SPCA of Texas as a puppy but then a couple of years later was surrendered to the Collin County shelter, where we adopted her in 2010. She was thought to be a Border collie mix, though not as large. Her original family had named her Bianca, but we named her Riley, which turned out to be perfect because she was spunky and "riled up" a lot. She drove her older sister (a gentle GSX, passed 2015) crazy with her silly antics and was the respected elder as we added Daisy (JRT mix) and Lucy (Belgian Malinois mix) to our family in 2015 & 2016 (both from FWACC). Riley was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last year, but it barely slowed her down. She was lively even on her final day, but her heart gave out at home on July 20, 2021 at age 13, with all of us loving on her. I believe she and Sandy have reconnected across the Rainbow Bridge, and Sandy has introduced her to older brother Pal (Pittie/lab mix from HSNT, passed 2006). They are forever in our hearts. 💗💗💗
