Pet's Story or Bio
We recently adopted Achilles from the shelter. We were in search of a protective dog for my daughter since she just bought a house. My husband fell in love with this guy after noticing that he had a hurt back leg, possibly a car hit while roaming the streets. We knew his days were numbered at the shelter, so decided to adopt him. Once home, we noticed he was deaf, my husband’s response “So much for a guard dog”. The vet put him on antibiotics for an ear infection and 3 types of parasites. My other pets are not too fond of him since he is rambunctious and are not used to the barks and his curious ways. My Boston Terrier Vashti is starting to not be so bossy and controlling. He continues to see my Chihuahua Mambo as a live squeaky toy and is afraid of my cat Hazel, so he keeps his distance from her. I’m hoping that with love and patience he will adjust to his new environment and become part of the clan.
