Pet's Story or Bio
Rascal is our 6 1/2 pound, 15 1/2 year old Poodle Bichon Shih tzu who has an outsized personality and is very much an alpha male. He can be very cute but also extremely bossy. He loves driving both our ‘78 VW Bus and our ‘61 Bug.. He stands on my lap with his front feet on the steering wheel, and even honks the horn once in a while.

One of Rascal’s unique talents is his ability to stand on my shoulders, his front feet on one shoulder and back feet on the other. It is both his happy spot as well as a security haven. If he gets scared he will scramble onto my shoulders. But mostly he just very much enjoys being up there where he is at eye level with other people and taller than any of the big dogs. He can be on my shoulders for literally hours on end and has even fallen asleep up there - all with absolutely no support from my hands. It’s his preferred place to be when we are out and about.

Rascal also achieved hero status several years ago when he alerted us to a neighbor’s house being on fire late at night. We called 911 and alerted all of our neighbors. He’s a very special forever puppy - because of his size. He is very loved and always lives up to his name. He’s the best dog ever!
