Mahjong

A little about me...
At 9 mo old Mahjong was brought to a rural MO Veterinary office to be euthanized simply because he was deaf. Thanks to the Veterinarian and Speak, that didn’t happen. Mahjong has proved to be one smart boy. He’s a very quick study, excelling in classes, but he also has a little devilish streak…always happy to steal something “illegal” hoping I’ll give chase. 9 months after adoption he was certified as a Therapy Dog and has calmed students at my Alma mater during College Exam Stress Relief Day and visited Nursing Homes. He’s yet to meet a stranger. He loves to hike and to play in water. He has excellent trail manners but he just goes wild when he encounters a creek or lake. Water is his catnip! After the loss of multiple dogs in recent years due to old age, Mahjong has also been a healer of hearts and a lifter of spirits…balm for my soul. Someone else’s disposable dog certainly is my treasure.
