A little about me...
Last August, we wandered into an adoption event hosted by Speak Rescue at Petropolis in Saint Charles—still carrying the quiet ache of losing our beloved senior Italian Greyhound just a month earlier. We weren’t searching for a new companion. Our hearts were still healing. But then, right in the center of the adoption board, we saw her—a tiny Italian Greyhound puppy with eyes that seemed to reach out and hold ours.

She was barely four months old, and yet her photo stirred something deep within us. It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t logical. It was love at first sight.

We submitted our adoption application with hopeful hearts, and the wait that followed felt like forever. When we finally met her in person weeks later, it was as if the missing piece of our family had found its way home. Her gentle spirit, her playful energy—she was everything we didn’t know we needed.

Bringing her into our lives was one of the most beautiful decisions we’ve ever made. She didn’t just join our pack—she helped heal it. And now, we truly can’t imagine our days without her.
