Rules

Entries & Eligibility:

Only dogs adopted from Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary are eligible for submission into the photo contest.
Each entry is $20.
Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment of your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entries that receive the most votes. The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.
Entries begins 7/16/25, and ends at 8/10/25.

Photo Requirements:

Photos must feature only adopted Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary dogs.
Highlight your pup. We only want to see the star of the show! Please don’t send photos with people or other dogs.
Background really matters. Outdoor photos are always a great idea, whether it’s your pup on a hike, in an agility competition, or just hanging out in the backyard.
Watermarked photos will not be accepted.
Acceptable photo formats are limited to .jpg.
Photos must be in focus, with good lighting and clarity.

Any photograph containing inappropriate, indecent, or obscene content, as determined by the Board of Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary in their sole discretion, will be removed from the contest without a refund.

General Conditions:

By submitting a photo, participants agree to the use of their image(s) by Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary for promotional purposes.
Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not adhere to the contest rules.
All decisions by the Board of Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary are final.

Voting and Prizes:

Voting will take place through the Gogophotocontest.com platform.
Voting begins 7/16/25 at 9:00AM CST, and ends at 9/30/25 at 9:00PM CST.
Each vote costs $5, and there is no limit to the number of votes you can cast.
The top 12 photos with the highest votes will be featured on individual month pages in our 2026 Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary Calendar.
Photos not selected for the top 12 will be included in a photo collage, ensuring every submission is recognized.

Selection of Winners:

Winners will be determined solely by the number of votes each photo receives.
The top 12 photos with the highest number of votes will earn a coveted monthly spot in our 2026 Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary Calendar.
All other submitted photos will be included in a photo collage, ensuring that every participant's entry is recognized.
