Share Your Rescue's Story - What would you like to share with the voters about him/her?

Zeus is a Search and Rescue trailing/tracking dog. He and his Mom volunteer their time to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Dept. Search Dog Team.

Zeus was found in the desert in a garbage bag, left for dead with 7 of his siblings, he and another brother were the only two survivors. Parvo, mange, upper respiratory, etc. didn't stop this pup from surviving. Since then he has been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis which means a special home-cooked menu, prescription pills for life and monthly blood draws.

Last year he contracted Blastomycosis which is deadly, 2 dogs in the area died. Zeus was homebound for 6 months with over 21 pills a day. The mere fact that he survived that with his already compromised immune system is a miracle.

He got back to work by passing 4 exams for trailing/tracking and recertifying for his 6th year. If Zeus has shown us anything, it is never giving up!!
