20 years ago, my mom’s favorite cat (Tigger) passed away at the age of 18, he was a Polydactyl kitty. He was a wonderful cat and because of him our entire family became fans of the Polydactyl breed. As it turns out, shortly after my mom’s kitty Tigger passed away, I was volunteering with FOCHP and guess what I found, a pair of Polydactyl kitties. I called my mom and asked if I could adopt them for her and she quickly said yes. I took Desi and Lucy to her house and they immediately fell in love with my mom and their new home. At the age of 16 years old the kitties made the move with my mom to Texas. The entire family came so we could all help make Desi and Lucy comfortable on the road trip. Lucy died 3 years later at the age of 19 and Desi passed just the other day at the age of 20. In honor of Desi, my mom and Polydactyly cats I am nominating Desi as the best cat ever and thank him for giving my mom’s life so much love.
