CATS ARE PEOPLE TOO! 2021 Rescue Cat Photo Calendar Contest and Cover Art ContestEntrants
- RESCUE CATS ONLY (contest excludes cats purchased from any type of breeder)
- Photos may include more than one rescue cat/kittens
- Open to rescue cat owners, fosters and animal rescue organizations
- No humans allowed in photos.
- Commercially reproduced photographs from professionals will not be accepted without proper releases. (example: if you paid a professional photographer to take a photo of your cat)
Entry Fees & Voting
- Entry Timeline: Submissions and voting will be accepted online from August 19, 2020 to October 11, 2020 9pm PST
- Entry Fee: $10 per image submission. Participants may enter multiple submissions ($10 per submission).
- Image size: Images must be horizontal (landscape) format. Height or width of at least 1836 pixels is preferred
- Voting: Votes are $1.00 donation per vote with a minimum $5 donation
- All votes do not have to be used at the time of donation. Upon donation, voters will be given the option of applying all their votes to one image, multiple images, or storing their votes in an account. If voters choose to store votes, they can be accessed and applied with a User ID and password at any time during the contest voting period.
- Resolution of the image may limit its ability to be used in the calendar. If a photo is one of the winning 12 entrants, but does not meet the resolution requirements needed for quality reproduction, we will ask you to submit another photo of the same cat/s.
- After you submit your entry, you have the opportunity to ask your friends, family, and supporters to donate-to-vote by sending them the URL for your entry or using the "Tell-A-Friend" form when you log into your account on the contest website. Please note, you cannot combine votes from separate photos/entries.
Donations
- 100% of the proceeds from this calendar fundraiser support SpoofDawg to the Rescue's mission to help animal rescues in need.
- Donations made through the SpoofDawg to the Rescue Calendar Contest and online voting are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please print your receipt for your tax records.
Judging
- Entries with the most collected votes will determine the 12 cat photos featured in the calendar. The cover of the calendar (separate contest for artists) will feature the winning art piece image that receives the most votes. Prizes awarded for each of the two categories.
- Each photo entry may only be submitted once but participants are able to enter multiple times.
- Only photos and images submitted online through this GoGo site will be accepted.
- Any image that includes people, or content deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by the staff, will be removed from the Rescue Cat Photo Calendar Contest and/or the Cover Art Contest
- In the event the winning photo submissions do not meet reproduction requirements, those winners will be asked to resubmit an acceptable photo of the same cat/s. A deadline will be provided at the time of this request for the acceptable photo to be provided.
- After the contest has ended, the total number of votes for each submission will be available on the contest website. The entrants of the top 12 cat photos and top 3 Cover art images with the most votes only will be notified by email and/or phone/text.
- Failure to abide by these rules and the contest waiver will automatically disqualify the entry.
Submitted photos will become the intellectual property of SpoofDawg to the Rescue. All participants retain full copyrights of their images. By submitting an image(s) to 2021 Rescue Cat Photo Calendar Contest and Artwork Cover Contest you give SpoofDawg to the Rescue the right to display the image anywhere within SpoofDawg to the Rescue's domain, social media sites, print advertising or for promotional purposes, all other media outlets, and to resize, convert and re-compress the photo for viewing convenience and/or faster loading.Contact Information:
