Pet's Personal Statement
At times, Walter likes to try to hide -- considering he is a rather large standard poodle, hiding is pretty difficult! Walter was rescued when he was two years old. He had been a performing agility dog who wasn't 'earning his keep!' He also worked in a couple of commercials. To comply with the laws where he lived, the owner was only allowed three dogs, therefore, he decided to replace Walter. He didn't think anyone would want Walter, so, he was going to have him put down. Blessedly, that did not happen, and Walter has been very happy being part of the Humphreys/Nordoff family for seven 1/2 years. He loves tennis balls... really LOVES tennis balls! He'd play in the backyard forever if allowed. He also has a unique way to get the family's attention if he feels ignored -- he steals towels... or socks... or underwear... or everything! The towels he piles in the living room; the socks, he eats! Therefore, bedroom doors must be closed to protect Walter... and especially, the socks. He is incredibly huggable, loves his walks in the neighborhood, gives Zach "hi fives" with his nose, and performs willingly for his treats. We love our Walter! Vote for him to show you love him, too!
