Buddha was brought into my place of work, New Georgia Animal Hospital, at 3 weeks old. He had a distended abdomen, later determined the mother dog had stepped on him and caused internal bleeding, and the breeder didn't have money to help him. So they signed him over to me, thought he would not make it through the night, but now he's 6 months old and doing fantastic. His back hips are a bit of an issue since he did not get the nutrients he needed, so he walks with a special gait and will probably need a wheelchair at a younger age than normal. He is my special boy and I love him more than anything in the world.
