Your Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Lucy as a puppy from St. Huberts in 2011. The perfect dog and warrior! Between ages 1 -2 she had 4 surgeries for floating kneecaps and 2 torn acl's. This was just a preview of her fighting spirit. When she was 7 she was diagnosed with meningioencephalitis and was paralyzed. With a lot of physical therapy, medicine and wonderful family and vet support Lucy learned to walk again and thrived for another 5 1/2 years. After some often difficult battles and alot of victories she recently passed away. She was 12 1/2. If love could have saved her she would have lived forever. Her story is one of love, triumph, tenaciousness, hope, grace and dignity. She was independent, inspiring and a force to behold. She loved me her entire life and I will love her for the rest of mine! She was my souldog.
