Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
I was found at two months old hanging from and tangled in a basketball net. I was taken to a vet where I was treated for my wounds. I was scared and shaking and afraid of humans for months. Despite the humans speaking nicely to me and trying to pet me, I felt scared all the time. Once out of the hospital I was taken to my foster home where I began to heal and learned to trust my foster mom. Then I was taken to my forever home. Once again I was trembling in fear. For a couple of weeks I would hide in any nook and cranny I could squeeze my body into so I would not be harmed. Then one night I decided to run through the family room to see what would happen. Like a streak of lightening I shot past the TV watching humans and circled back to my hiding place. I was safe. They did not harm me. After that night I began to emerge more often. Today I am a very loved, happy cat. I am not afraid of humans any longer. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to flop on my belly in front of my owners any time they are walking around and I stop them in their tracks until they rub my belly. I also enjoy burrowing under blankets and pillows as you can see. I love my life now and I am never afraid of any humans who enter my home.
