Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
As you can see I am gorgeous. Despite being left at a high kill shelter at the age of 12, I did not lose hope. And upon being rescued I showered my person with love and affection, showing off a rare intelligence that delighted and amazed her until the very end. We became so close and connected that we seemed to read each other’s thoughts. I was spoiled rotten and must confess that at times I did take advantage. But obviously I absolutely deserved such treatment! In the evening I would lie on her lap as she watched TV. Then at bedtime I would lie beside her to fall asleep. But eventually she would move so much I would have to switch to the end of the bed. In the morning she would kiss me. Then when she said, “Let’s get up”, I would jump off the bed and trot ahead of her to the kitchen to decide what to have for breakfast. Sometimes the first thing she’s put down was just perfect. But sometimes it took her a couple of tries to get it right. I must say though, she always did her best!
So why am I a Ravishing Rescue? Because I saved her as much as she saved me. We were both in a bad place. But when we came together we both still had hope and love. And we gave that to each other unconditionally. We fit together like puzzle pieces. And even though it didn’t last as long as we thought it would, it was perfect. And I felt Ravishing the entire time!
