Why I am a Ravishing Rescue?
Muji, as you can see, is quite the handsome lad! He is also sweet, snuggly, clever and hilarious. He loves birdwatching, being brushed, stealing seats, and playing with fishing line toys. He is not scared of people or vacuums, but thunder and ribbons are apparently terrifying! We met and adopted him at age 4 from a cat cafe in Santa Barbara (shoutout to Cat Therapy), but we are forever grateful to Stray Cat Alliance for rescuing him from the LA County Shelter, where he was originally surrendered. He was recently diagnosed with a heart condition, but he's in good health otherwise and playful as ever. We wanted to submit Muji to this contest to show that 1) black cats, which are still less likely to be adopted, look great in photos, and 2) rescues are life-changing, for both animals and us.
