OFFICIAL Contest Rules

1. It's just $5 to submit your cat/kitten's photo in this year's Stray Cat Alliance 2017 Ravishing Rescues Calendar Photo Contest! Photos will be accepted on the contest website (http://www.gogophotocontest.com/straycatalliance) from 12:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, August 11, 2016 until 3:30 p.m. PST / 6:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, September 29, 2016 - that's four and a half hours prior to the conclusion of voting.
2. The contest will end at 7:30 p.m. PST / 10:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, September 29, 2016.
3. Votes are $1 each with a minimum of 5 votes per transaction. This means to vote even one time you must purchase one block of 5 votes equaling $5.00. You may apply all 5 votes to one entry or spread among several or a few entries until all 5 votes are used. You can purchase larger blocks of votes and/or repurchase blocks of any $5 denomination (ex. $10, $25, $50, $500, $1,000) as many times as you choose until the very last minutes of the contest.
4. The top vote winner at the conclusion of the contest will become the Cover Cat on the Stray Cat Alliance ("SCA") 2017 Ravishing Rescues Calendar and displayed on the inside cover with a short bio. The next 12 top vote recipients will become Ravishing Rescue Calendar Cats for each calendar month between January-December 2017.
5. Contest winners will need to re-submit their photo to SCA as a high resolution (large file), print quality image. Ideally, the original photo should be no smaller than 3648 pixels X 2736 pixels @ 72 dpi, but preferably 300 dpi. If the photo is too small, it will be disqualified for use in the calendar due to printing constraints or a new photograph will be required to be delivered to SCA within 1 week after calendar close. Winners will be notified where to send photos. All other usable photographs may possibly be used in a collage page within the calendar and/or in future SCA approved outreach materials, website, e-blasts and printed materials.
   *For cats/kittens on Rainbow Bridge – a logo signifying their passing will/can be appropriately added to honor their transition. We understand difficulties about photo issues with those photos and will work with winners to make the best representation possible.
6. Photos become the property of SCA. By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. SCA reserves the right to disqualify at any time any photo it determines to be unsuitable. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. You agree to indemnify SCA and hold them harmless from and against any claims of any nature arising in connection with the 2017 Ravishing Rescue Calendar Photo Contest. Entrants grant SCA all rights of ownership, reproduction and royalty-free indiscriminate use of entries and photographs for any purpose. By submitting a photo to the 2017 Ravishing Rescues Calendar Photo Contest, the artist agrees to give and grant to SCA, its employees, nominees, agents, successors and assigns, unlimited authorization, consent and permission to publish and use, any and all information about the animal and any and all reproductions of animal's likeness (photographic or otherwise), and with or without the use or disclosure of guardian's name.

1. Any and all animals can be entered regardless of where they live, whether they are adopted or free-roaming outdoors. Ear tips are welcome! Also, please enter your beloved fur family members who now are on Rainbow Bridge. A special designation of Rainbow Bridge can be applied to winning photos if desired.
2. It is highly desired that photos focus on one cat or kitten only. Please note there is a 100-word limitation on the question "Why I Am A Ravishing Rescue?" Cat colony photos are accepted and would be best to focus on one cat in the colony if possible. You may enter as many photos as you wish, however keep in mind that friends and family votes add up so spreading those votes among multiple entries limit your chances of winning. Entrants and winners under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Photos that contain adults or children will not be accepted.
4. Complete the entry process and submit your photo in a JPEG, JPG, PNG or GIF format, although JPEG/JPG is the preferred form. Ideally, the original photo should be no smaller than 3648 pixels X 2736 pixels @ 72 dpi, but preferably 300 dpi. All submitted photos are subject to review by SCA for inappropriate /offensive content.
5. Spread the word everywhere if you want your photo to win and help us raise donations! Ask family and friends to get online and vote for your cat or kitten – share with your social network friends. Give them the link to the contest: http://www.gogophotocontest.com/straycatalliance.
6. The top thirteen (13) entrants with the most tabulated/donated public votes will be deemed the First through Thirteenth Place winners. Winners will be notified via website, donor e-blast, social media sites and personally by telephone and possible media. The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
7. All submitted photos and information become the property of SCA to be used at their discretion for any and all marketing purposes without any additional compensation.
8. SCA is not responsible for any technical problems or for late, lost, incomplete, stolen or misdirected entries. SCA will work with Gogo Photo Contest technical support to resolve any issues.

1. Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. There is a 5-vote minimum - a $5 donation. You may vote more than $5 at one time and every dollar is counted as a single vote.
2. When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place a few here, a few there, etc. For example, if you donate $25 you receive 25 votes which you can "bank" – vote some now, some later – place all on one photo or split among many different photos equaling 25 votes.
3. We encourage you to e-mail the contest link – http://www.gogophotocontest.com/straycatalliance - to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo. There are also easy social sharing tools to spread your Ravishing Rescue out far and wide!
4. All donations are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations, but not applied toward the contest. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
5. Voters under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
