Our longest resident Christmas Carol found herself a foster HERO after 210 days at the shelter 🥹 That’s almost 7 months!

Her story: Christmas Carol was spotted wandering North County last December very pregnant in extreme temperatures 😞 No one saw her for a week or two and we were so worried we wouldn’t get her inside before the snow. Luckily she popped her head up just in time and made it to our shelter 🙌 She gave birth days later (on Christmas) to 10 beautiful babies and was a fantastic mom to them.

Why was she waiting so long? Carol wants to be an only pet—these homes are so hard to find and only pets DESERVE LOVE TOO! She is non-reactive to other dogs, she just doesn’t want them in her personal space. After living on the streets potentially her whole life—who could blame her?

Carol is a GEM 💎: loves everyone she meets, laid back, thinks she’s a lap dog, loves to watch tv, easy on the leash (and the eyes 😍), knows basic commands, and is crate and potty-trained! She is loving life in a home and doesn’t want to leave the bed 😂
