Rio came to us the summer of 2024. He was found abandoned in a dog park with a cherry eye at about 8 months old. Stumptown Strays treated his cherry eye (twice which was amazing!) and we met Rio by chance a couple of months later. My sister happened to know his foster mom. We said yes, and our lives have been changed forever, everyday with Rio us such a gift. Rio’s DNA test revealed the most unexpected results - 26% French Bulldog, 24% Pug, 14% Chow Chow (which means his tail is curled twice with the classic pug curl) about 9 more breeds, Rio is essentially a small dog in a large dog’s body at almost sixty pounds, which no one expected. He is still finding his voice, the frenchie in him has lots to say, loves balls more than anything, and took very quickly to truffle hunting with his human dad.
