About Us

Our Sumter SPCA is a non-profit organization that strives to protect, shelter, and provide quality care for unwanted, abandoned, abused and stray animals of Sumter County. We strive to adopt these orphan animals into stable loving homes. It is our mission to alleviate suffering and prevent cruelty to animals. Our Sumter SPCA strongly advocates the spaying and neutering of animals to help reduce unwanted animals and promote population control. We work to educate the community in regards to responsible pet ownership and the proper care and humane treatment of animals. We receive no funds whatsoever from any federal, state, county or city government and continue to operate primarily on fundraisers and donations received from the public.
