Bugsy (AKA Lainey) was rescued from Lee County by Suncoast two hours prior to being euthanized. We adopted her the day she arrived, and she now has two dog and two cat siblings! Unfortunately, Bugsy was heartworm positive. Suncoast took care of the enduring treatment over the last three months. She just finished her last round of injections and steroids- hence the shaved hair!

Bugsy is loving life every day and makes sure the whole neighborhood knows when she’s ready for a meal or a walk. Her and her dog sister, Kaia, are inseparable- from sharing the same bed to sleeping in the same kennel, they truly are best friends! When she’s bored, her favorite past time is taking every dirty sock out of the hamper and leaving them in surprise places for someone to find. Bugsy is the happiest and most loving girl; she is truly cherished!
