Pablo is a Tricolored Apple-Headed Chihuahua. He was adopted on National Shelter Day 2019 from the Humane Society with his beautiful girlfriend, Lissette, a Pom/Papillon. I had gone to adopt 1 dog I saw posted and found these two in a closed room because they were very stressed.
Previously, they’d been used and traded on Craigslist as breeding dogs. They spent 10-16 hours a day in a small crate. The owner tried abandoning them outside the closed shelter when a hero volunteer working late, ran out to stop owner and a car that had pulled up to try to take them.
Since that day, they are the treasure of our lives. Pablo is a photogenic ham who loves snuggles, stealing chicken nuggets and being spoiled.
This photo was taken the day I adopted them, and I call it Welcome Home Forever Smile.
