Your Pet's Story or Bio
Mia was rescued by SunCoast Humane Society from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Ian. She was just 15mos. old and had given birth recently. We were told that she was so matted when she arrived that you couldn't see her eyes.
We were looking for a dog after we lost Rusty (our beloved previous dog) just six days before.
It was love at first sight!
We were grief stricken when we met Mia. She helped bring happiness back into our lives. We were so fortunate to find her. We still miss Rusty and always will, but Mia is very special in her own way and has definitely found her place in our hearts.
